Windwood Homes was founded by Steve King in May 1994 to produce affordable, quality homes that would provide open, livable spaces for comfortable living. With a background in both construction and real estate finance, Steve saw an opportunity to carve a market niche in Gwinnett County by providing new homes that incorporate many items as standard features that would be options in other homes. Following this philosophy and paying attention to the desires of homebuyers has paid off. The company has been able to grow over time and refine its operating procedures to provide a very desirable product at a competitive price.
Our growth has allowed us to attract and retain a highly motivated, efficient group of skilled individuals whose professional approach to the business results in high quality homes completed in a timely manner.
Future plans call for controlled, thoughtful growth over time to provide opportunities for talented people to grow and reach their potential. STEVE KING was previously employed by an award winning Atlanta builder, where he gained a wealth of experience in all facets of construction. He achieved a lifelong goal in 1994 when he started Windwood Homes. Since that time Windwood Homes , Ivey Chase LLC and Treemont LLC have constructed over 250 homes. Steve currently serves as a Director of the Home Builders Association of Georgia and is Vice President of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina and a JD degree from the Atlanta Law School. He started Windwood Homes in 1994. Steve retired from the US Air Force Reserve in 1995 with 21 years of service.
GIFFORD POOL brings several years of general business experience to the table. He spent two years as a Warranty Manager before being promoted to Superintendent and has now been with the company for more than 12 years. His positive attitude and commitment to quality make him a very valuable senior member of our team. His outstanding leadership and customer relations skills are a great example to the rest of the staff.
DAVE HANNON brings several years in the construction industry with a background in Framing. His professional commitment to getting the job done the correct way has made him a great asset to our company. Dave has mastered his job and now produces homes of exceptional quality.
JACKIE SATCHER has over seven years experience in the construction industry with concentration in accounting and customer service. In addition to managing the office in a thoroughly professional manner, she also is responsible for the coordination of the company Sales Program. Her attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction have contributed greatly to our success.
DAKOTA BUSH has several years in the Construction industry. His experience includes drywall finishing, electrical, and punch out/finishing. With his ability to produce the finished product, he has been a great asset to our growing company.
